Classroom Management (incl. managing inappropriate behaviour by learners, the environment, the classroom climate)

Classroom management includes factors such as what happens in the first 10 to 15 minutes of a lesson to set the tone, pace and direction of the lesson, how inappropriate behaviour is managed and how the environment is organised. It also includes things like how the teacher facilitates peer learning and assessment to create harmonious, dynamic and mutually beneficial learning opportunities. All of these factors can change in an instant so as well as planning, the teacher needs to have a toolkit of high impact techniques that can be implemented immediately.
